Hook

Boss, what is the thing you fear most when engaging an accounting service? Getting something other than what was on the label — you sign, and then find out that this part is not included and that part is charged separately. Let us take a few minutes to say plainly what LTT does and what it does not. Once that is clear, you can decide whether we suit you.

How we keep the books

Start with what makes us different: LTT is a fully paperless accounting service. Those boxes and boxes of paper documents? Hand them over. We scan, name, file and post them — all digitised, so when you need a particular document later it comes up in seconds. And here is the honest part: what actually eats the time in keeping good books is the administrative donkey work — chasing documents, sorting files, reconciling bank movements. The parts your auditor and your tax agent may not want to touch are exactly what we do every day.

Who we focus on

Our main clients are Enterprises — sole proprietorships and partnerships. That is the form from the second lesson: the most widely used, and the least well served. No accounting system yet? Two routes. The cloud system Bukku suits a great many SMEs. Not sure whether it suits you? Ask LTT first and we will look at it with you. One thing to be clear about: our bookkeeping service is cloud only — because only on the cloud can you look at your own numbers on your phone whenever you want.

What we do not do

Plainly: LTT does not do three things. One, audit. Two, corporate tax filing. Three, company secretarial services. Those are licensed professions, and we will refer you to the right person and work alongside your existing auditor and tax agent. We fill the gap, we do not fight over the ground. A service provider willing to tell you what it does not do is one you can trust on what it does.

But the hard work, we can do

That said, a lot of the difficult work is exactly our strength. Group consolidation and branch reporting — numbers across several companies and several branches, brought together so you can see them clearly. Our founder, Lim Tau Tat, has done internal audit in listed companies and spent years in anti-money-laundering compliance. How your internal controls should be set up, and how money should be handled so nothing goes wrong — that experience goes straight into your business. And what LTT is built on comes down to one line: business analytics and financial reporting — turning your numbers into the confidence behind your decisions.

To close

In summary: paper documents digitised and the donkey work taken off you; focused on sole proprietors and partnerships, on the cloud; no audit, tax or secretarial work, but consolidation, internal control and analysis are our strengths. Whether we suit you is something we will only know after a conversation. Grab a coffee first and talk about your business — for the accounting, come to LTT. I am LTT, helping SME bosses get their accounts straight. Follow us, and see you next time.

03Common questions

I am a Sdn. Bhd. Do you take us on?

Yes. Focusing on sole proprietors and partnerships does not mean we turn away limited companies — it means the audit and the corporate tax go to a suitable practising accountant, while we get the books to an audit-ready state.

If you do not audit, who handles the audit?

We get the books into the state the audit requires, and support the auditor throughout with schedules and supporting documents (see EP40). Referring is not walking away.

Do I have to use the system you specify?

Not necessarily. It depends on your transaction volume, your headcount and your budget — and if something does not suit you, we will say so.
